On topic one reason probably why many do not post is in front of everyone, this forum has become a dumping ground for wordpress themes, each time i visit all i see everyday is wall to wall new wordpress themes So there is no topics to discuss and nothing more than day in day out wordpress themes and would nearly sit at 99 themes to 1 real post. So with out content or discussion then what starts happening is you stop dropping into the forum, then get the old marketing blurb you have not posted, unless i respond nice theme to every post, there is less need to return and the whole intention of the forum is lost and should be renamed as a repositry for themes because thats about all it is as of now not being a know it all, but to hit me with no post and only have theme after theme bites me. As a new moderator, I have not been here for long, however I realize that this word press spam has gone on for quite some time. I will bring this to the attention to the owners of the site. Please do not hesitate to PM me with any problems or adjustments you would like to bring to the attention of the owners, as I would happily relay them to them on behalf of the community. Well thanks for the reply Urbanmyth, i think the overrun of WP templates has the winning hand, you only have to look that latley we have had a few new members and in that seem to be well involved in directories and offering to help. They have had no response or welcome and are swamped by the WP monster. At present the forum is a waste of space as a directory forum, i hope you get it sorted. but i see if it continues as it is then the only thing to moderate will be more word press themes. Cheers | ||

Sorry for my late response, busy week. I do plan to introduce some counter-measures to spamming of word press themes, as it appears most of them are simply feeds or spam-bots. I do not wish to overstep my bounds as a moderator however, so I must consult the proper authorities before taking any action on behalf of the forums. Again, I sincerely apologize for the spamming of these themes, they will be delt with as soon as possible.

Hi DownUnder, Kyle is absolutely right. All forms of spamming on this site, including wordpress themes will be stopped and the member profile responsible, permanently banned from the site. We are now doing a review of all threads throughout the site. Those posted in the wrong categories will be moved and ALL spam posts will be deleted. This site is for directory owners and webmasters for the discussion of directories. There is no place for wordpress themes, free or otherwise, on this site. Thank you for your feedback and your patience while we deal with this issue. You will be seeing many more improvements and enhancements on TalkDirectories over the next few weeks. Please pass along any other suggestions you have on how we can improve the site to make it a better community for all and we will do our best to make it happen. Regards,
