Default User Reputation: Yes or No?

Do you guys want to keep user reputation?

Yes or No and explain why. It's abused almost every forum I know, so I'd rather now have it.

I like to see user rep. I also like the idea or removing 5 points or same amount of points taken away when - rep is given.

No.

Because it tends to be misleading, and people tend to just green their 'buddies' for worthless posting, or 'just because you're my buddy'.

Well I find it funny; I think you should keep it.
So I can get PM’s saying “Rep me” and posts like “who was the stupid that rep me red”

I voted no, because in many cases it misleads.

I vote NO. It will only split members to high reputation member and low reputation member. Without it, all members are equal

I think rep system is a must, as we all do business here.

Me I never give red rep ever because I just call them out and then I get an infraction for calling them out

NO

I hate when people judge you for your higher iTrader ratings or Rep points at DP. Being sincere to your work and with your dealings is more than just having few green blobs below your nick name.

I think it's only there to be abused.

to some degree it lets us know who is a good teamplayer at the beginning, but honestly ... at DP for example I forget to rep, because I no longer find it important. But a lot of new little rep cliques come up and suddenly you see some dude who only posts stuff like ?SUbmitted a couple, thanks for the opportunity? with 6 green ones.

So I believe in the long run there needs to be something better in order to give people a real insight on who adds value and who doesn?t.

I decided against it for the time being. We don't want to create an atmosphere like Digital Point over here where it hurts peoples "feelings" when rep is overused and abused.

I want to keep this a friendly community, and abusive rep is not a part of that equation.
