| Hey guys, I was just wondering what you guys thought about Forum SEO. I am just starting out with SEO, and as you could guess, I own a forum. Is there anything that should be done differently, when optimizing a forum? Thanks, | |||

| Some say that using VBulletin is a wiser choice as it is SEO-friendly. Well as for optimization, the onpage and offpage factors still needs to be done accordingly as you would have an ordinary site. I'd also worry more on getting members to it - that is a whole new ball game IMO ![]() | |||

| Hey Niky, nice to know you run a forum as well. One of the best plugin there is out there is the vBSEO - vBulletin Search Engine Optimization. My webmaster forum is currently powered by it. What it does is create SEO friendly URL structure, which is filled with keywords. That is just one of countless things it does. You might want to look into it if your running vBulletin. vBSEO - vBulletin Search Engine Optimization

| I have to confess that i have seen a marked difference in traffic since implimenting vBSEO on a few of my forums. The sites simply index FAR better, and the keyword friendly URL's really help. I'd highly recommend it to anyone, as it's definitely worth the money. | |||

| Oh lord yes, as a webmaster I have tried various different forum software- PhpBB, Invision free, VBulletin, ect.. And I have to say by far that Vbulletin is the best, especially if you are interested more so in attracting traffic. Highly recommended forum software! | |||
