Alright, I remember there was a thread a few days back asking how a user can get icons next to their categories in phpLD. Well I thought why not put a tutorial on how users can do that and give a demonstration that it can be done. While this requires basic coding knowledge because I dont have any backend stuff in the admin panel like Rob's mod does, so If you are looking for a mod that is very user friendly than you should contact an0n aka Rob, and he will offer you the mod for a fee. Those who are looking to work a little hard this is for you. I am not offering any free support people ... If you need support you might as well pay rob once and get his free support all life.

I saw the codes on a phpLD thread and added a small snippet of smarty tags in there to make it work.

Basically what this mod will allow you to do is Add Icons to any homepage category in phpLD. All you would have to do is find the icons in png format with a preferred size 48x48px ... or all other must be same size if you pick another dimension.

Number your icons with the number of your cat. id so if your art category have categroy ID = 1 than you have to name the icon for at 1.png

Once again this mod does not have any backend admin panel. All are done in the main.tpl. If you want it to be easier for you than get it from Rob because his mod is much more established and have a backend for the admin panel.
