Importance of Socialbookmarks in templates - Talk Directories

I know that alot of people wonder how to get social bookmark icons in their website, and what good are they. Well i have collected them all and put in this blog post. Why should you use social bookmarks? Social Bookmarks are essential for web advertising. By saying that i make my point clear about that it is necessary to promote your blog(s) and websites added in the social bookmarks. The question comes on how exactly will you advertise on the different social bookmark websites. That problem is solved by one of the Social bookmark submitters like Add to Bookmarks or Addme. Many people even go as far as paying others to bookmark their sites. All these ways work, but ok you can pay one guy, ten guys, twenty guys. It will end somewhere, but your site won’t end. You will have to keep going, so how will you get each and every single one of your user to bookmark your website or blog posts.

A good post smub, recently i updated to the new add this bookmark option, the new version available is very easy to use and is user feindly.

It allows you to add as many or as little bookmarks to your html code as you want, in any order, allows you to load you logo to the add this selection page, giving your site added exposure and will also allow you to use any image you like instead of the standard images that were once used.

Added benifits also include your web site name in the drop down ( which can also be positioned anywhere ) and comes with an email this page to a freind option a well.

yeah my point exactly, you send your users to third-party before they can actually do the thing, but this way it is only you and the bookmarks no third party.

? no need to go third party if the bookmark is there it hooks straight up ?

a while back even these things take you to adthis page ... but i guess they changed it ...

both does the same job ... perhaps you want to make a comment on the blog and i'll clarify right below you

The one used on that site is old school and were tough but the new option stands well above that and allows for complete intergration of your site theme and the way it is used and looks, I suppose a bit like a horse cart compared to a farrari.

LINK also available is the new business card style of marking a blog, not sure how it will take off but worth watching.

Re posting on the blog ? what is there to say over and above here, just tying to fly low buddy not bunny hop the web.

I think easy social bookmarking is just a no brainer.

The question I have, is it better to have individual buttons for each service, or do the consolidated 'share this' or 'add this' buttons, that expand on click, work too?

The share this button really saves on space, but I seriously wonder if it cuts down on the bookmarking.

Anybody with any real experience with both?

I have not used both just the expandable one, I may be wrong but if people really want to bookmark you they will use it and as stated saves valuable space ( and avoids repetition ) that could be used for other items, plus some sites you see rows of them after rows of them on the one page, looks crapola at best.
