Ive been looking for someone who can write some good ones, which I would use on all my directories, but not much luck, every sample I have seen is based on the 2 category dumps floating around, so had to start writing my own, what inspired my structure, nothing really yet.

My directory was inspired by a complete lack of a good one within my niche. I built what I wanted but could not find.

I basically made a category for everything, you can pretty much fit anything into the Bidding Directory somewhere. As time goes by I am promoting each individual category which I beleive to be really important for a few different reasons. By promoting your inner pages you are creating a chance to have PR on your inside pages, which will help with your frontpage PR, also by bringing people to your inner pages you increse your overall traffic to your site, which in turn leads to success.

I dont have any particular category structure for my directories, but it is good to have one for a directory to be unique.

Lovely, i couldnt stress how more important having a directory structure is! Without one, your website will be hard to navigate, and thus your users will get annoyed, and just leave.

This was probably the most hardest part in making the directory, it took me days to make the structure until i finally ended up with 888 categories. I like it this way, though would be a bit harder to get PR to inner pages since its an old directory that just got the attention but with the hardwork i plan to put in it i hope its a great resource, besides my always priority will be traffic, I still have tons to do for the directory since i am facing a few problems on what to install in mods and what not to, unique descriptions and badly waiting for the update to see if the directory market has the potential though in either of case i am not going to sell it or run away. I will stick to it
