What is your experience with directory promotion via blog posts? Has it been a better way to get exposure to your directory? Have you used any contextual link services? Your Thoughts...

I know that I get a ton of traffic through my blog. I have also been surprised at the number of other blogs that have picked up and posted articles linking to mine. I don't really know anything about blogging, but I am amazed at how it has increased the traffic to my directory. Lance

I haven't... I know Zorg-Links did at JohnChow.com while I was #1 on that site and I got a ton of traffic from it.

Hey Floppy... Do you happen to have the PSD from your directory design? I just shot mine over to a good coder (PM me if you want his name) and he put my blog template together from it. I think Mike did the same thing.. You can see my directory HERE and my blog HERE

Unfortunately I don't. I bought a $30 template and worked it over myself. I ended up coding 90% of it all over to be xhtml/css compliant and making my own images blah blah. However its not really a psd that could be sliced up for a new template. | ||

Ok the discussions are excelent.Tell me something I need to know urgently.I have some blogs in blogger.I have them submitted to blogs and directory on a free basis.Are they going to get me search engine traffic.I mean I have submitted my blogs to technorati and bloggernity.com/Business_Blogs/Marketing_Blogs/ and to related sites.What are the prospects of my blogs.
