A suggestion for your Steve.

The directory looks too much like a parked page. I think it's because of those pictures that might make the visitor click "x" because they think it's just parked.

Just my 2cents.

true very much like a parked page, if I didnt know of that template, I would say its parked btw, have to place the sponsor links back.

That might explain why my submissions have gone to 0 recently. I'm thinking I may need to re-design the directory altogether.

Regarding the sponsored links, I've paid to have them removed.
