I am not aware of drupal cms , but i am building on a dotnetnuke base cms.

With this system the base is free to download and there are many free modules, but once you start into the modifications and depending on who you get to do the work, the costs can run into many thousands, with the system i have set up now well over 10K and counting, you will also probably have extra hosting fees than normal, and extra data base fees depending on what it is your trying to achieve.

With that there may be some directory scripts that could meet your needs. The advantage of building from the ground up is you are able to build whatever you want, the disadvantages are extra time and costs to develop and implement all options.

the site is still in beta with another round of mods and updates to be undertaken that will probably set me back around 5K but from there its hoped stage one will be complete and ready to roll out.

you can tryinhere to view it, any questions yell out.
