Well mikey it has sold out the last few months - I don't really have it there for the revenue as the price for it is rediculously cheap considering the site traffic. The mod has paid for itself though.
I did not put it on there to generate additional submissions - I don't think that would work anyway. I can't say the mod itself has generated additional submissions, but it has allowed people to get exposure to more traffic and it is all about giving people options.
Bidding directories give people the option to gain additional exposure to traffic by bidding onto the front page so this mod also gives people the option to get there too. With this mod they just know the time they will remain there right up front rather than wondering if someone else will out bid them and knock them down. |
