Yahoo! seems to be even more sensitive than Google. They catch your backlink growth faster than Google. They seem to have something similar to Google sandbox but shorter version. You can lose your ranking in Yahoo! for 1 to 2 weeks. I have actually experienced this. |
It really depends. If it's obvious, then the "sandbox" can occur, if that's even confirmed.
A mix of both doesn't hurt, just as long as they are on relevant sites.
